The Coco Birth Box

  • Yes — Coco Birth Box supports all types of birth, including cesarean recovery.
    While some items are more general, everything in the box is safe and helpful no matter how you delivered.

  • Not at all! Whether it's your first baby or your fourth, postpartum recovery deserves just as much attention. Every birth is different, and even when you've been through it before, it's easy to forget what those first few weeks involve.

  • You absolutely could! But sourcing all those postpartum essentials yourself takes time, research and a fair bit of shopping around.

    Coco Birth Box brings together carefully selected recovery essentials in one place, chosen by a mum who's been through it herself and knows how useful having the right things on hand can be.

    It's about making one part of postpartum preparation that little bit easier, so you've got less to think about when the baby arrives.

  • You might not — and that’s okay.

    Every birth and body is different. But everything in this box was chosen because it supports the most common postpartum needs — across vaginal birth, C-section, even loss.

    We’ve also made sure that many items have dual uses (like ice packs that help with both swelling and heamorrhoids), and we include suggestions for how to repurpose anything you don’t need.

    Nothing is wasted — and it’s better to have it nearby than wish you had it when it’s 3 a.m.

  • Yes — this box was built with your hospital stay and the days immediately after in mind. Instead of trying to guess what you’ll need, it’s all packed and ready for you.

  • Coco Birth Box is designed as a complete recovery kit, with essentials chosen to work together and save you the trouble of sourcing everything separately.

    We also offer digital guides and other products in our shop if you're looking for something more specific.

The Postpartum Post

  • It's a monthly snail mail subscription for new mums, written by the founder of Coco Birth Box, from one mum to another. Each letter reflects on what you might be experiencing during your particular month of postpartum. No parenting instructions or to-do lists, just a bit of perspective, encouragement and someone in your corner.

  • You'll receive a personal letter each month for your stage of postpartum and a Small Good Things card. Occasionally, I'll include an extra, such as a card for the people supporting you.

  • Not at all! Whether it's your first baby or your fourth, postpartum can be a lot. Every experience is different, and even if you've done it all before, it's surprising how much you forget!

    These aren't letters teaching you how to look after a newborn. They're about you, the mum, and what you might be experiencing at each stage. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone in your corner, however many times you've been through it.

  • Absolutely! You can join at any point during your baby's first year. Just enter their date of birth when subscribing, and I'll send the letter that matches your postpartum month. You don't have to start with month one.

  • Letters are posted during the last week of each month, aiming to arrive at the beginning of the following month.

    The monthly cut-off is the 20th. If you subscribe after that, I'll arrange a separate dispatch for your first letter.

    Delivery times will vary, particularly for international subscribers.

  • Your first payment is taken when you subscribe. After that, you'll be charged automatically each month on the same date you subscribed.

  • It's £7 per month, including UK postage, or £10 per month for international subscribers, including postage.

  • Of course. You can cancel anytime through your customer account on the Coco Birth Box website. There are no long-term commitments.

  • Yes! Select "It's a gift" when subscribing and enter the baby's date of birth. Make sure you enter the recipient's delivery address at checkout so the letters reach the right mum.

  • The Postpartum Post follows the first twelve months after birth. Once you've received your final letter, your subscription will be ended so you're not charged for letters beyond the first year.

Shipping

  • We currently ship across the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the USA.
    We’re gradually expanding, so if you’d like to send a Coco Birth Box somewhere else, just get in touch — we’ll do our best to make it happen.

  • Yes! We’ve recently started offering shipping to select European countries and the US.
    If your country isn’t listed yet, drop us a message — we’re exploring demand in new regions and your request helps us grow.

  • We don’t currently offer delayed shipping, but you’re welcome to order in advance and store the box until it’s needed — nothing inside will expire.

  • Due to hygiene and safety reasons, we can only accept returns of unopened boxes with the outer seal fully intact. These are subject to a £30 restocking fee.

    If your box is still sealed but you don’t want to keep it, you can also choose to donate it. We'll ensure it’s passed on to a mum-to-be who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford the care she deserves. 💜

  • We aim to dispatch Coco Birth Box orders within 24 hours. Delivery times depend on your location and the shipping option selected at checkout.

Gifting & Donations

  • Absolutely — and we think it makes one of the most thoughtful gifts a new mum can receive.

    Just add their shipping details at checkout, and if you’d like to include a personal message, we’ll handwrite it on your behalf 💌

    It’s the kind of gift that says:

    “I see you. And I care about you, not just the baby.”


  • We recommend gifting around 34 weeks and beyond — close enough to birth that it won’t get misplaced, but early enough that they can add it to their hospital bag and feel prepared.

    We also offer handwritten gift notes if you’d like to include one. Just add a message at checkout 💌

  • Yes — and thank you for asking. Many of the physical recovery needs still apply, and even more so, thoughtful support matters.

    You’re welcome to include a note and we’ll ensure it’s packed with extra care and sensitivity.

  • Actually, it’s one of the most appreciated gifts we’ve seen.

    Most new mums receive baby grows, balloons, or blankets. But very few get something that helps them — especially for the physical, intimate stuff no one talks about.

    This box quietly says:

    “You matter. Your recovery matters. And I see you.”

    It’s always received with gratitude — and sometimes, tears (the good kind).

  • We believe postpartum care shouldn’t be a luxury. That’s why we’re building a donation program to support women who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access these essentials.

    Here’s how it works (for now):
    If you’d like to donate a box — or redirect your unopened return to someone in need — we’ll make sure it goes to a pregnant woman who needs it, through trusted hospital and maternity care partners.

  • The box contains physical essentials to help with postpartum recovery, while our digital guides offer information and resources for specific aspects of life after birth.

    They're available to purchase separately, so you can choose what's relevant to you.

  • Our digital guides are delivered electronically, so there's no physical parcel to wait for. You'll receive instructions for accessing your download after purchase.
